Adnan and family

Adnan was a beloved football star who dreamed of a bright future. He and his wife Tahreer lost their lovely home that they built with all their savings in 2022, and they were displaced in 2023 after the war started. Before the war, they had already suffered a terrible loss when they lost their beautiful daughter, Omnia, who was just ten months old. And during the war they additionally lost Omnia's young uncle, Tahreer's brother. 

"I am Adnan from Gaza. I have lost my home and everything I owned due to the difficult circumstances my country has gone through. The war has destroyed everything, leaving me homeless and without any source of income. I once lived a simple and stable life, but the current situation has shattered all my dreams."

After the ceasefire they moved from their tent to a temporary accommodation in an apartment that they share with Adnan's parents and brothers. All windows and even some walls are missing and the sound of the planes and passing aid trucks keeps them awake at night. Their own home is beyond repair. They eat only one meal a day of canned food. If you donate they will be able to go to the market and buy fresh produce, chicken if available, and flour to bake bread.

UPDATE: Adnan and his family were kicked out of the apartment because the landlord wanted more money, which they didn't have. His wife and parents sleep in a tent but there is no room for Adnan so he is sleeping where he can.
